- During Beijing Olympics 2008
Challenge:
- Create 150 human characters, moving in 3D space
- Form a billboard image using 150 small placards, each carried by a character. Application will automatically cut 150 pieces of one billboard image.
- Form a formation, by positioning all characters to form Chinese or English writing. Formations are provided as black-and-white images.
- Ad. message in form of 3D Chinese writing falls from the top, while all characters move to catch falling writing, and then position it in the right order.
- Randomly picked character will show “Reminder message”, telling user to log in or register.
- Characters mimic soccer, tennis, marshal art or basketball, according to the current active sport in website’s “Gallery” section.
- Each character is linked to the existing user account in Adidas user data base.
- Randomly, little characters are relinked to other user accounts, while user explores the website.
- All formations, placards and reminder messages are editable from XML file, so our client could add new/edit existing, according to the success of Chinese athletes, reflecting their success in the Olympic Games.
- Implement “MotionPortrait” technology in the website interface
- Add “MotionPortrait” to existing and newly created user accounts.
- Add “Facial Tattoos” as a completely new feature to “MotionPortrait”
- Create Adidas Avatar stand-alone flash, that can easily embed into blogs just by adding few lines of html code. Avatar connects to Adidas user data base and loads user’s interactive portrait with all settings (hair, sun glasses, facial tattoos & beard).
Time frame:
- 4 weeks of development
- 1 week tune-ups with MotionPortrait backend system and Adidas user data base backend system
